My name is Meghana Kao and I am incredibly honored to be the president of this amazing chapter! Lambda was established at Cal over 100 years ago and since then thousands of women have lived Sigma Kappa’s values of personal growth, service, friendship, and loyalty as well as shared these values with the Cal community. We have a rich history of strong and inspiring women who are involved and contribute to Cal in many ways.
The women in this chapter are kind, intelligent, ambitious, driven and generous. We dream big and put in the work to achieve those dreams with people interested in everything from private equity to neuro science to anthropology and everything in-between. We all work together to balance our academic, social and extracurricular involvement. We support one another always whether that is putting in the hours at the library, working hard to plan our next philanthropy event or having a dance party in the living room because we all just need a break we can always count on our sisters to be there for us.
When I first arrived at Cal I wanted to find my community, my people, and that is exactly what I have found in Sigma Kappa. So thank you for stopping by our website! Take a look around and find out what it’s like to be a Sigma Kappa and a Golden Bear. I hope you find your people too.
